 Mad Magazine wants you. Or rather, the infamous humor magazine wants writers who can offer up outrageous humor, silly satire and more. The editors accept both art and prose. Pay is high — $500 and up. Find all the writer’s guidelines here.


First Run Publishing  is a small press out of the UK that publishes both electronic and print editions in the US and the UK.  Though they publish all genres of fiction, the editors are particularly interested at this time in romance, erotic romance and science fiction. Keith Publications is another new e-publisher looking for submissions. They publish fiction from 500 to 150,000 words. Right now they’re particularly interested in horror stories, 7000 to 10,000 words, for release this Halloween. Deadline for submissions is June 30. The publisher has two imprints: Wicked Ink Press publishes romance, from sweet to erotica, while Wicked Black Label publishes all varieties of erotica. See their guidelines here.
