“The story…must be a conflict, and specifically, a conflict between the forces of good and evil within a single person. “
– Maxwell Anderson

Carina Press is looking for Steampunk stories with winter or holiday themes for an anthology to be released in December 2011. The stories will be released individually, then in the anthology as ebooks. Carina Press is Harlequin Books’ e-publishing venture. The stories for this anthology don’t have to be romance. They may have romantic elements, but they could also have elements of horror, science fiction or mystery. They don’t have to be sexy but could be. Stories should be between 18,000 and 35,000 words. Though there are no plans at this time to also release the stories as print books, each author will receive several print copies for his or her own use. Deadline for submission is May 15, 2011. For all the details, visit the Carina Press blog.

Last week I reported on Harlequin’s ebook novella program, Nocturne Bites. The name is officially being changed to Nocturne Cravings.
